How to Transition to Spring With Linen

When the weather is transitioning from late winter to early spring, the fabrics we wear change along with the seasons.  Age doesn’t matter when considering what fabrics we choose to wear.  It’s time to put away dark-colored, heavy woolens.  Today let’s consider a style tip that shows you how to transition to spring with linen!

I share my outfit ideas with you to help you discover more ways to use what you have.  Sometimes you may want to buy new pieces you need or are inspired to get, but you probably don’t have to.  Look over these outfit combinations and see if you can find new ways to wear your clothes that you may not have thought of before.  And if you come up with some new creations, please let us know by leaving a reply below this post!

Wear Linen With Summer Cashmere

Summer cashmere is one-ply instead of two or three-ply.  There are featherweight cashmere T-shirts, tank tops, and scarves.  They are perfect layering pieces for spring.

Summer cashmere or lightweight cashmere can be found at high-end fashion boutiques, but you can also find them at mid-point stores such as J. Crew.

1. A cashmere wrap over a linen dress
2. A cashmere cardigan over a linen top + linen or silk pants
3. A cashmere sweater + linen pants

Wear Linen With Silk

1. A linen cardigan + a silk dress, top or skirt
2. A linen shirt + silk pants or skirt
3. A silk shirt or blouse + linen pants or skirt
4. A silk kimono + a shell top + linen pants
5. A linen jacket or blazer + silk pants, skirt or dress

Wear Linen With Faux Suede

1. A faux suede jacket over a linen tunic or shirt or tank + pants or jeans
2. A faux suede vest over a linen top + pants or jeans
3. A linen shirt or other linen top + faux suede skirt or pants
4. A linen jacket or blazer + a faux suede skirt or pants
