Style Tip of the Day: How to Use Certain Trending Colors

My style tip of the day shows you how to use certain trending colors.  You’ll be able to incorporate these colors into your existing wardrobe with ease, multiplying the ways to wear them.  If you don’t have these colors, now is a good time to think about adding them in to what you have.  Their versatility will make them worth purchasing because they will have staying power.

Besides, these colors are becoming to all skin tones, depending on the hue.  Who doesn’t want that?  Age doesn’t matter when the colors you wear make your skin glow.

The featured colors can be styled romantically as well, for date nights or Valentine’s Day.

Today’s Style Tip Features Blush and Pale Pink

Pink Blush Color Palette by Color-Hex

Style Tip — The colors blush and pale pink go with anything, so they may be used as neutrals.

Of course we know that we can mix blush or pale pink with black or white or with blue jeans.  But did you know they can go with anything…any color, any print…anything? You can dial down the girly vibe by choosing streamlined pieces, like a tailored coat; Or you can amplify it with flirty dresses and skirts.

Blush and Pale Pink:  The Color Personality

Blush can be considered an earth tone and goes well with other earth tones such as browns from chocolate to tan, olive, sage, stone, rust, mustard, etc.  Animal prints are included in earth-tone palettes and go with everything. So they are also a good to pair with blush and pale pink. Certain pale tones of pink, such as muted and clay pinks, can be used the same way as blush.

It’s a great color for laid-back utilitarian clothing such as cargo pants, joggers, jumpsuits, military jackets, cutoffs, etc. And it is a delicate feminine color too, so it fits right into Valentine’s and date outfits whether day, night or at home.

For evening, you can give blush or pale pink the ultimate feminine touch by adding iridescent accessories.

Express Your True Self With Color

Blush and light pink can be combined with much more, especially when pink has a degree of paleness that brings it closer to cream or beige.  That’s when the sky is the limit and you can pick absolutely any color to mix them with!  Then blush and pink can combine beautifully with brights, neutrals, even neons such as citrine.

I’m all for freedom in fashion.  Classic is classy and I don’t go berserk.  BUT I do love to experiment.  Freedom of expression is key to artistic creation.

So let me encourage you to free your true self to wear whatever colors you like in combination with blush or pale pink.

  • I love so many of the pink and blush peices you featured and realized I don’t have enough pink in my wardrobe! I have stuff for the gym, but im not inspired to look for more soft pink items to add to my regular wardrobe!

    • Maybe you would prefer fuschia or other shades of pink. I’m not a pink girl myself, but I have a beautiful blush tunic and a pale pink shirt set. I haven’t found them to be very inspiring to wear past using gray or white pants. That’s why I was interested in looking up more colors to pair with them. Now that I have this blog post, I have lots of new ideas and am planning to wear my blush and pale pink items more often. Valentine’s Day is probably a good time to find some beautiful new pink items of clothing to add to your wardrobe!

    • I hope you’ll enjoy using your blush-color clothing with lots of other color combinations from your wardrobe. New color pairings should enable you to come up with more outfits than you thought you had! 🙂

    • That’s my initial inclination, too, and it’s very classy/classic. I’m looking forward to pairing blush/pink with some new colors that I haven’t tried before. Tomorrow, for instance, I’m going to wear a pale pink chamois shirt open over a leopard-print t-shirt and faded black jeans (more like gray by now.) 😉
