A Revealing Quiz: What is Your Color Personality?

On her blog, the Inside Out Style Blog:, Imogen Lamport has a section on color which is in-depth and highlights her expertise.  She shared this color quiz for the fun of it.  Your personality doesn’t change (except for how you improve it over time) so age doesn’t matter.  This quiz, originally from House Beautiful, is for you share and play with with your friends.  Age doesn’t matter.  😉

Here’s the quiz, and my color personality:

      1. What’s the first color you see in the morning? Peach walls. I thought peach would be a good color for the bedroom for sex, not sleep. Now I want to change them to a peaceful pale blue because the peach color didn’t turn out that beautifully once on the walls. :/pexels-photo-271624
      2. What color are your eyes? Hazel, which in my case is half green and half brown.       Pupil
      3. What color do you wear the most? Black, which I have been transitioning my wardrobe out of. I’m trying to use softer colors now, and replace black with charcoal or navy or pewter.Bodycon with Moto
      4. What color do you never wear? Yellow green — it’s too warm and bright for my cool coloring.  Well, black doesn’t go with my coloring either but I love the effect of it whereas I don’t like the feeling of yellow green…

Just not as good as black!  😀
      5. What color do you wear when you want to feel sexy? I start by choosing the outfit, not the color.
      6. What color gets you the most compliments? Green and blue green.emerald-green-hearts-1004024_1920
      7. What color is your lipstick? Plum Sherbet, which is a pastel plum.

      8. What color was your living room when you were growing up? White or beige perhaps.  I’m not sure; it wasn’t memorable.
      9. What color was your bedroom when you were growing up? Maybe white, because it wasn’t any more memorable than the living room.
      10. What color are your sheets? Some are ivory, some are white, and some are gray.

      11. What color was your favorite crayon as a child? Blue green.  (If not, it’s my favorite now!)                                                                  BlueGreenCrayon
      12. What color is your car? Champagne Silver.
      13. What color was your prom dress? Black.

    1. What’s your favorite gemstone? Turquoise.

  2. What color makes you happiest? Teal.

  3. What color depresses you? I don’t think any color depresses me; I find blue calming and blacks and grays mysterious. I remember a time when I was depressed, though, and was looking at black birds flying in a gray sky.
  4. What color calms you? Blueocean-828774_1920
  5. What color makes you grind your teeth? Pea green.  Actually, it makes me feel sick!                                                                   Pea green soup
  6. What color would you like to try, but are scared to? Lemon yellow, because I’m not sure which shade would look good on me.

Although greens and browns might be the most flattering colors on me because that is the color of my eyes, I love blue greens the most. Four of my answers were blue green and four more had blue in them — out of 20(!)  So seven out of 20 is about a third.  Maybe I need more blue green in my life!

In the chart below, blue explains me rather than green:  “Optimistic, empathetic, flexible, idealistic, tranquil, patient, devoted. A natural mother.”  Except:  1) I am slow to warm, so I could use more flexibility; 2) I have been having trouble with impatience lately; and 3) I am an earth mother and have a lot of love and wisdom to impart, but I am not a baby-loving person; I really enjoy children a lot more when they are older.

What is your colour personality?

NUMEROLOGY KEY TO YOUR COLOR PERSONALITY

This was originally in House Beautiful.

Interior designer Ellen Kennon, a color expert with a spiritual bent, analyzes each color personality:

1. Red: The most dominant personality. A visionary and risk-taker: energetic, passionate, tenacious, flamboyant, and courageous.

2. Orange: Balanced both mentally and physically. Happy, loyal, takes each day as it comes.

3. Yellow: Cheerful, charming, magnetic, intelligent, confident, and creative. Somewhat psychic, and enigmatic. A good leader and negotiator.

4. Green: The perfect balance between the physical and mental. Grounded, logical, not easily influenced, rarely judgmental. An intensely loyal friend — and has lots of them.

5. Blue: Optimistic, empathetic, flexible, idealistic, tranquil, patient, devoted. A natural mother.

6. Indigo: A brilliant old soul who is intuitive, sensitive, impulsive, curious, and ambitious, with a great lust for life.

7. Violet: Also an old soul. Intense, cerebral, wise, loving, generous, sentimental, and artistic.

8. Rose: Main qualities are strength, love, and leadership. Turns visions into realities.

9. Gold: Radiates love, joy, compassion, and understanding.
