How to Look Special at Casual Summer Events

Summer is the time of year to relax and take life slow.  When enjoying fresh summer breezes, sunshine, the peaceful sounds of nature when the birds chirp and the wind whispers through the trees…age doesn’t matter.  We all get the urge to partake in the events of the season:  picnics, barbecues…outdoor concerts whether rock, techno, jazz, classical or Big Band.  And then there are a plethora of other casual summer events.  If you’re going to a summer movie, lunch in a hot place, a picnic lunch, a summer party, or just hanging out with friends on the weekends, read on for how to look special at casual summer events. Age doesn’t matter.

Here’s How to Look Special at Casual Summer Events such as these:

a summer movie, lunch in a hot place, a picnic lunch, a summer party, or just hanging out with friends on the weekends…

SUMMER MOVIE, LUNCH IN A HOT PLACE, ETC.

 Tie a sarong over a bare black dress.  Add bare sandals.

PICNIC LUNCH

Sit comfortably on the grass in a gray knit maxi-skirt with a loose silk top over it.  Add feminine flats & jewelry, such as a cool bracelet.

SUMMER DINNER PARTY

1. A bare black t-shirt with black pants & any color silky shirt worn open as a jacket.  Add belt and sandals in gold.

2. Tapered trousers & a vibrant t-shirt.  Add statement heels & bold accessories.

3. Black tapered trousers & a black and gold silky t-shirt.  Add statement heels & bold accessories.

4. Country Dinner:  A white tee + white and blue checked silk or cotton trousers.  Add a gold belt + flat gold sandals + some lovely bracelets.

WEEKENDS, CASUAL SUMMER PARTIES, OR TO THE BEACH

Cinch a caftan, long or short, with a wide leather belt.  Add flat leather sandals, large designer sunglasses & a soft fabric shoulder bag.
