Age doesn't matter.

Which Brow Gel is the Best for Your Money?

This is the result of my quest for a long-lasting brow gel at the lowest possible cost.  I tested the three highest-rated long-lasting ones I could find, and determined which was the best.  I have been using them on rotation over the past six months, since I first tried them and reported my impressions to you.  So now I have an update on which brow gel I think is the best for your money, based on my experience with longtime use.

I always took my eyebrows for granted…just like we take walking for granted, until something happens to knock us off our feet.  Once we lose something that was always there, it comes as a shock that it was so much more important than we thought.  Now I realize how important eyebrows are, even a necessary part of being, such as having a face!

Although many may not have come to this realization, most women do want thicker, darker brows.  Age doesn’t matter.

So Which Brow Gel Is the Best?

Eyebrows are the beautiful frame on the windows to our soul.

I’ve found three products to create brows that are thicker, fuller, darker and long lasting.  Because it’s a pain having to wake up in the morning with invisible eyebrows and having to draw them back on every day.   :/

So which brow gel is the best for your money?  Just so you know, I am saving the best for last.

I bought these myself, and am in no way affiliated with any of these brands.  Therefore, I feel totally free to give you my opinion with no strings attached.  However if you click on the link under a photo, you will be connected to the product if you would like to find out more about it.  So here are my thoughts, good and bad, about my experience in testing these three products:

4ever Magic, Wunderbrow and Brow Last.

3. Wunderbrow

Wunder2 Wunderbrow Eyebrow Gel from HSN

Wunderbrow adds hair-like fibers that adhere to sparse or nonexistent brows.  And it lasts through a couple of gentle washings, so you can at least wake up the next morning and still have nice eyebrows for another day.  Those are the pros.

But the big con is:  it is maddening to apply!  It drives me crazy trying to get it on smoothly in the right amount and right shape.  It dries quickly, so you have to work fast.  It’s a mess to try to use the brush that is within the tube (see below).  And it’s gloppy.  And I didn’t like how it ended up looking either.

The company added a “how to” video to its website to help.  But what you have to do is use their stiff-bristle brow brush to get the gel from the brush that has been dipped into the container, at an extra cost.  Why have a brush if you have to use another brush?  Because it’s too difficult to use the original brush, that’s why!  Needless to say, I’ll never spend the money on this again.

That said, my sister loves Wunderbrow and perhaps many of you do too!  But she has thicker brow hair than I do.  For my part, I was happy that it ran out after a short time and I will never buy it again.

2. 4ever Magic

Brow 4evermagic

4ever Magic is so easy to use.  It’s smooth, it blends and it looks great.  It stays on all day.  But the moment I wash my face at night, it comes right off.  So if you don’t care about having it last more than one day, I totally recommend it.  But if your aim is to have something that stays on more than a day, I would say you may as well pass on this.

On the other hand, it is enriched with castor oil which causes new eyebrow hairs to grow.  So if that’s what you want, this is a wonderfully convenient way to have beautiful brows and regrow them at the same time.

The blog Beauty Info Zone lists all the attributes of this product HERE if you would like to consider this further.

After using 4ever Magic for many months, I decided it looks so good that I would buy it again.  However, it dries out over time.  If you know of a way to safely and effectively moisten it, let me know by leaving a reply below this post.

1. Brow Last Longwearing Brow Gel from Physicians Formula

Brow Last Physicians Formula
Brow Last Longwearing Brow Gel from Physicians Formula

This one is the winner in my eyes.  😉

This is easy to apply in a way that looks good and lasts the longest of the three brow products in this review.  It definitely lasts two days and sometimes even more, especially if you are careful to cleanse around it.  As a bonus, it is a fraction of the price of either of the above brow gels.  It looks good and it’s pretty easy to use.  It got even easier to apply over time, as less came out on the brush.  It has lasted quite a while.  I’ll be sticking with this one for sure.  I love it!

In conclusion, Brow Last Longwearing Brow Gel from Physicians Formula is my favorite for easy application, long wear and a good look.  I also like 4ever Magic eyebrow gel for it’s beautiful appearance and added castor oil for promoting brow growth.  I was frustrated at how difficult it was to apply Wunderbrow and I didn’t like how it looked either.  I will buy the Physicians Formula and 4ever Magic again, but not the Wunderbrow.  However, I know that others may like the Wunderbrow. If they choose to spend the money, it might be worth a try.
