Style Tip: How to Turn One Outfit Into Many With Animal Prints

This is the third style tip introducing a series on animal prints. The first was about what outfit pieces go best and the second was about the best neutral color pairings. As this blog is all about outfit ideas, today’s tip is about how to turn one outfit into many different looks by using animal prints. Age doesn’t matter when you’ve got style! Be sure to watch for next week’s post on outfit ideas using animal-print tops.

Style Tip Using Animal Prints:

Add an animal print to head-to-toe black.

Wearing black from head to toe is popular and easy. One way to keep that from looking monotonous is to vary the texture of each piece. Another way to punch it up is to add an animal print. That could be a jacket, kimono, duster, ruana, poncho, vest or cardigan. Or it could just be an accessory such as a belt, scarf, shawl, bag, hat, gloves or footwear. Jewelry also counts, but it has minimal impact unless it’s a statement piece.

Once you add an animal print, black no longer looks monotonous but takes on a wild and free vibe.

You can pair a different animal-print piece with the same black outfit and still look different each time. So this will give you more variety from the same go-to basics.
