Fluid & Flowy Silhouettes for the Warm Weather Months
Fluid and flowy silhouettes for the warm-weather months are loose and cool, comfortable and feminine all at the same time. Think bias-cut or Eileen Fischer or chiffon, silk, georgette, etc. The fit and feel corresponds with the popular slouchy comfort that has been creatively reinterpreted in the fashion world over recent years. It also seems to me that feminine romance has been incorporated into everyday style until it is becoming accepted as normal. I’m thinking of lace and ruffles and the like. Age doesn’t matter. It’s all in how you choose to wear it.
Ways to Get Fluid & Flowy Silhouettes
Here are some of the many ways that you can enjoy a beautiful fluid and flowy outfit. Check out what it looks like and get inspired!

Try pairing chiffon and crepe dresses, skirts and pants with the everyday comfort of simple ballet flats.

Emphasize the flow of a silky or filmy tunic by wearing it over lightweight wide-leg pants. Or just stick with a classic pairing of long over short or loose over fitted, such as leggings or slim pants.

Talk about flowing, the top above is fluid to the max! Pair something like this with an equally flowing skirt or pants.

Loosely tuck a draped silky top into a long swishy skirt or pants, such as palazzos or wide-legs that almost look like a skirt.
With a chiffon blouse, keep the fluid and flowy vibe going with something like wide-leg pants or a bias-cut skirt.

Top a column of color in loose fabrics with a kimono, duster or ruana as above.

Wear a free-flowing, long and lightweight duster over a lacy dress to emphasize the romance of it.

A sheer kimono or poncho adds more fluidity to a body-skimming top & bottom set.
Silk pants and skirts coordinate well with loose, silky tops.

Bias-cut skirts and dresses are tried and true basics for fluid and flowy silhouettes.

Caftans are one and done for quick fluid and flowy silhouettes.
Fluid & Flowy Silhouettes Are Great for the Warm-Weather Months
The first thing to consider when you go for a romantic fluid and flowy silhouette is the cut and composition of the fabric. Look through your closet for bias-cut or Eileen Fischer pieces or items made of chiffon, silk, georgette, etc.
The quickest and easiest way to get this look is to grab a caftan or dress that is lightweight enough to billow or flow as you walk.
The next easiest way is to top a column of color (same color top & bottom) with a kimono, duster or ruana.
Yet another outfit combination is a silky or filmy top with wide-leg pants.
Bias-cut skirts and dresses are central pieces to use to base your outfits on.
It can’t hurt to add a silk or chiffon scarf to your ensemble.

I’d like to add that you can replace the romance of this look with the casual style of loose, drapey cardigans, t-shirts, soft lounge pants or palazzos and comfy skirts.
Use what you have, wear what you love and enjoy the beauty and comfort of this styling!
