We’re in our second heat wave of the Summer and it’s only mid-July. It seems here in the American Midwest that every Summer is one long heat wave nowadays! On hot summer days, I gravitate towards flowing caftans (see my Kaftan Style Guide Here) or loose dresses. But another cool thing to wear is shorts. There are lots of different styles, but the basic is a pair of denim shorts. It’s time to put those on rotation, so I have collected over 25 outfit ideas to make jean shorts fun to wear. Polka dots are trending this Spring and Summer, as they seem to do every year. Am I right?! That makes it a classic and as I always like to mention, that means age doesn’t matter. So I came up with eight outfit ideas for polka-dot skirts. That’s the only thing I have in that print, which led me to decide that I may as well keep this blog post simple. But it actually branched out a bit as I thought of more things. So I added a couple of other stylings including outfits for transitional weather, a little information on print mixing and a style tip at the end.
