Ponchos are a third piece to take a basic outfit to special territory just as capes, ruanas, shawls and other toppers do. The poncho is roomy, somewhat airy and flows around you in a layer of comfort. There are warm ponchos for fall that can be layered for winter, and there are light, thin, open-knit weaves for spring or even the beach.
