From my Style Tips Series, I have an accessory tip. I’m exploring how to wear a beret. This has become adopted by the French as the classic hat to have. Therefore, it is always chic. But this fall and winter, it will be available more than usual in stores because it showed up on the fall runways. What you will find below is lots of inspiration for how to wear it. Age doesn’t matter. As I write this, I am excited to find new ways to wear my berets more often when the weather cools down!

As I write this, we are nearing the end of winter in my part of the world. I, myself, am continuing to enjoy the winter with hygge living. (For more on that, see my post “It’s Always a Good Time to Explore Hygge Style” HERE.) But most of us are looking forward to spring. It’s still cold and warm clothes are necessary, but wearing white can feel fresh and remind us of spring and summer. Fashion no longer dictates that white is restricted to those seasons; white is now worn year round. So the question is: how to wear white when it’s cold outside?
We can use color to signal the coming of spring. Why don’t you try creating outfits with white and then as the first flowers bloom, add pops of spring colors to what you wear every day? You can get inspiration for that from my post “Want to Know How to Use Spring Colors Now?” HERE. When dressing by color, one size fits all; so age doesn’t matter.
Besides, mother nature looks beautiful in sparkling white snow. Why not take a cue from her and sparkle yourself, perhaps in white faux furs and crystal white jewels for instance? Let’s take a look at the different ways to get cozy in shades of white.

What do you absolutely need for the perfect fall and winter wardrobe? Herein is a checklist for what you need to create outfits for every occasion during the cool seasons. Age doesn’t matter because all of these items are classic and basic pieces. They will go with everything else you own to make a complete seasonal wardrobe that works.
(For a Spring and Summer checklist, see my post on how to make more outfits out of what you have HERE.)
Maybe you already have all or most of these essentials. If not, use this list to fill in gaps in your cool-weather wardrobe or upgrade things that are wearing out (or wearing out their welcome).
I’m not one for paring my clothes down into a capsule wardrobe because I love to have options for creating something a little different every day. But I do believe in having all the basics you’ll need to provide the main structure for a wide array of outfit possibilities.
If you have all the necessities, you won’t ever have to feel like you don’t have anything to wear!
