How to Add an Edge to a Sweet Look
How to Add an Edge to a Sweet Look

Style Tip: Toughen up a floral dress with lots of leather.
~ All references to leather in this post, as throughout my blog, are meant to be faux in order to be kind to animals.
Your dress can be mini, midi, or maxi. The faux leather doesn’t have to be black; it can be any color you choose, any item you choose, in any style you choose. There are infinite possibilities! You could also add a leather vest, coat, over-the-knee or biker boots, etc.

I love to add some edge to what I’m wearing. Do you? I’m 70ish, so age doesn’t matter. Besides, if you wear a leather jacket you’ll have protection from the cold and wind. So I hope you will enjoy your early Spring outfits using this style tip. Let me know! Please leave a reply for me below.

I love the idea of pairing tougher looks with sweet looks. The one thing I’m still not 100% sold on are the chunky sneakers with a delicate dress. I wear my low profile Sambas with dresses and still feel a little weird. But, my feet thank me!

I agree with you. I prefer to wear my leopard-print slip-on sneakers with skirts and dresses rather than chunky sneakers. Chunky sandals or boots, though, I will do!
