3 Tips That Will Make It Easy to Create Big Evening Looks

Do you have a big evening event to go to but don’t have an outfit for it yet?  I’m thinking about New Year’s Eve but there are special occasions throughout the year as well.  Following are three tips that will make it easy for you to create big evening looks.  These outfits will have you ready for black tie, formal or conservative evenings or elegant dinners.

You can put these together with what you already have or by picking up one more pieces to add to your evening wardrobe.  Age doesn’t matter because these are classic wardrobe items that work anytime for anyone and can be used in so many other ways as well!  These tips will save you money while they make it easy to create a number of big evening looks because separates are more versatile than dresses.

Here Are 3 Outfit Formulas That Will Make It Easy to Create Big Evening Looks:

The following outfit formulas are based on classic black.  The matching color top and skirt is a trick that uses two pieces to create the illusion of a dress.  Instead of black, you could use pretty pales or jewel colors.  For pales, think blush, cream, beige, taupe, pale peach, pale gray, light pink, light aqua or light blue.  Jewel colors include ruby red, emerald green, sapphire blue, amethyst or teal.  The main consideration is to keep the top and bottom in the same color to get the look of a dress.  The shoes do not have to be high-heeled sandals.  Closed-toe kitten heels or mules in satin or metallic or embellished in some way will also do the trick.  Of course, at fancy events you will want to finish the look with perfect hair, makeup and nails!
