Age doesn't matter.

6th in a Series of Velvet Outfit Ideas: How to Style a Velvet Dress

Every year during the holiday season, between Thanksgiving and New Year, I do a series of festive outfit ideas. A few years ago, the series was on velvet:  velvet tops, bottoms, coverups and a number of style tips, including how to wear velvet every day. You can find the links to these posts below this article. How to Style a Velvet Dress is the sixth in the series. It is now updated to provide you with the highest quality content. I hope it will help you to make your dress more versatile, as it can take you from day to evening throughout the Fall and Winter months. In fact, a velvet slip dress can work year round!

How to Style a Velvet Dress

You can style velvet of all sorts, from velour to silk velvet, in casual ways as well as in dressed-up looks. I have outfit ideas that encompass the spectrum of possibilities. Age doesn’t matter. I hope that you’ll enjoy creating new ways of putting together the things you have and the new things you purchase.

All references to leather or fur are meant to be faux in order to be kind to animals.
