9 Holiday Hacks to Make You Look Spectacular…and a Linkup Party!
Last year, I started a series on holiday outfit ideas. I am continuing that series this year, beginning with this post.
Following are tips for giving your outfits a holiday vibe for the wide variety of events you may engage in this season. Age doesn’t matter. Use what you have and make it your own. Express your true self!

This Thanksgiving, get dressed for yourself. To give you outfit inspiration, here ideas on how to look festive for Thanksgiving 22 ways. You can wear something casual or wear something fancy or just wear something you love. But let it make you happy and express what’s inside of you — feeling thankful for yourself, your loved ones and all of the wonderful things in your life. Age doesn’t matter; be your true self!
First, let’s think about what might work in general. Then following that are 22 outfit ideas. I hope they make it easy for you to get dressed beautifully and comfortably for this special gathering.
Did you know colors can make you look amazing? Have you ever wondered what your best colors are? Did you know that wearing your most flattering colors can make your skin look clear and fresh without even wearing makeup, your eyes look brighter and more attractive, and your hair (whether natural, colored or graying) becomes the perfect frame for your face? In other words, when you wear your best colors, people see you not your clothes. Then you wear your clothes and your clothes don’t wear you. And you will likely get compliments on how well you look.
Wearing colors that are the opposite of your natural coloring can make you look tired, older, even gray!
Age doesn’t matter. The colors you were born with stay with you throughout your life because your genetics don’t change.
Awhile back, Angie Weihs @theagelessrebellion on Instagram posted a pink heart, saying “Love yourself. Without your flaws, you wouldn’t be you.”
My comment on that was, “Flaws are the flip side of our good points. So just flip your thinking…”
This can also help you to become happier. In “How to Be Happy Every Day,” I wrote about flipping the switch:
“Flip the switch” from negative thinking to positivity. Start the day by taking some deep breaths and being positive and grateful for ten minutes. Focus on the good things in life (and about yourself). It will not only benefit you but also those around you.
