I had a request from a reader who is a dear friend to do a post on how to be comfortable yet sexy in pajamas. I don’t wear much as far as pajamas go…just a sleep shirt or a robe for around the house. So it took me awhile to figure out what to say.
When I finally sat down to research this, it became apparent that comfortable and sexy are not exclusive. The elements that give your day clothes a sexy vibe are the same for sleep and lounge clothes. Take a comfortable pajama and add one or more of the following elements to make it sexy.
Age doesn’t matter. Just choose what looks best on you.
So let’s take a look at what works. I discovered over seven ways to be comfortable yet sexy in your pajamas!

Welcome to the weekly blog roundup of the Beauty & Style Spotlight Team! This week, we’re featuring our favorite posts on beauty, style and bargain sales. I’m exploring the bad reputation of leopard prints and how to tame that image. Nancy shares her Good Buy/Good-Bye Book on the theme of leggings (favorites and failures.) Allison shows her amazing buy from a surprising new designer. Barbie reviews a new red light therapy for hair loss and thinning. Terri talks about how it helps when you dress in colors that truly suit you. And Lola alerts us to an in-depth list of After-Christmas and Year-End Clearance sales. We’re sure you’ll love delving into all of these helpful topics. So put aside a bit of “you time” and enjoy!
One day at work, I heard some women talking about leopard prints. They said, “I couldn’t possibly wear leopard prints.” They all agreed that they didn’t own any leopard prints and never would, that they were not the type to wear that. But do you really have to be a certain type to wear leopard prints?
Last year, I posted a series of style tips and outfit ideas on wearing animal prints. In today’s installment of my Animal Print Series, I’m sharing an idea on how to use leopard prints in new ways. It takes some thinking outside the box and putting a twist on your usual outfits. Older is bolder, so age doesn’t matter.
The new world of mixing prints with abandon is colorful and artistic. Artist and painter Pattie Gerrie is an example of someone who shows her true self with joy. Let’s try some creative print mixing and have some fun! Age doesn’t matter.

In this post:
I start out with the general print-mixing techniques that always work.
Then I give examples of prints that work as neutrals, with some outfit ideas for them.
Then I present some bold and creative ideas to try.
And finally, I’ll finish up with outfit combinations to inspire you.
I haven’t tried too much of this myself, so I’m excited to do more of it. Let’s start experimenting!
