How to Look Wonderful on Valentine’s Day & Beyond
When you go out on Valentine’s Day and other dates during the Fall and Winter, you might want to look just as sexy, feminine and romantic as you do during the Spring and Summer. But that’s easier to do when you don’t have to wear as many clothes, right? So you might wonder what to wear on Valentine’s Day and beyond.
Maybe your style is more edgy, casual or creatively unique. Age doesn’t matter. I have lots of outfit ideas for you! What matters is that you express your true self. If you would like some inspiration, read on and create your perfect outfits for a perfect evening!

Make Any Outfit Special With Accessories
For a romantic look, try a touch of lace in a top and/or a scarf. Add pearls: multiple strands, earrings, rings, even a headband or hair ornament or circlet. (Let us know if you dare to add a circlet, tiara or crown – flowers or gems! I’ve been too timid so far…)
For warmth you can incorporate faux fur, faux leather, fuzzy soft knits, velvet and so forth.

What to Wear Valentine’s Day and Beyond: Casual Outfits
If you have something red or pink, it’s a classic go-to item for Valentine’s day and other romantic rendezvous. It’s also a simple way to give a casual outfit a romantic air.
- A velvet camisole + some nice jeans + a soft cardigan. Add jewelry of choice.
- A red cashmere sweater (as in the classic “sweater girl”) + chinos belted in brown. Layer about five necklaces, such as: a short string of turquoise beads, a short necklace on a black cord, a charms necklace, another short string of colored beads (match a color of one of the charms), a short delicate beaded chain, a long metal statement necklace.
- A semi-opaque ivory peasant top + a nude shaper camisole + blue jeans.
- A pretty top + a short jean skirt + heels.
- A lady-like cardigan + a white tee + blue jeans. Add a pretty gold necklace + a pretty purse + flats.
- A big, cozy sweater + a satin midi skirt. Add boots.
- An ivory deep-v sweater + an ivory lace bra + blue jeans.
- A mini-skirt + an oversize sweater. Add tights or over-the-knee boots.
- A silky dress + a jean jacket.
- A graphic t-shirt + gauchos or culottes + heels.
- A pencil skirt + a t-shirt + fun kicks + minimal accessories.
Edgy Outfits: Just Add a Biker Jacket
Just add a black biker jacket over a basic or frilly outfit. Then suddenly you’ve got an edgy vibe!
- A red top + a floral skirt + a moto jacket. Add heels.
- A moto jacket + a lace turtleneck + black pants. Add studded or edgy jewelry + black heels.
- A little velvet dress + a moto jacket. Add tall black boots + over-the-knee socks.

- A little black dress + a moto jacket. Add an edgy necklace, such as chains or a spiked design. You might also like to add a studded purse or clutch.

These are some great outfit ideas! I liked the edgy one the best, as I love the leather jacket with the soft skirt. Great information.
