Thinking of you, dear readers, wherever you are in the world. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with love, joy and prosperity. Of course, I must add that I’d also like you to have your holidays and the days throughout the year ahead filled with beauty, youthful vitality and good health! Age doesn’t matter!

Vacation Plans for a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year

Today is Christmas Eve. My husband and I enjoyed movie time with our son, Chris. He is a manager of writers, directors and actors in Hollywood. Chris ordered a special meal for us from Los Angeles, California, and had it delivered to us in Detroit, Michigan, by Door Dash. He and his partner sat down with the two of us and on the signal, both households hit start on the same movie while we could see each other on FaceTime. We all had good food and drinks while watching the show. Chris having Covid didn’t stop us. By the miracle of modern technology, we were able to enjoy Christmas Eve together!

Chris will come to visit us next month, when he’s healed from Covid and the air fares are way lower.

Tomorrow is Christmas and time to enjoy food and gift-giving with my daughter and grandchildren.

During the week is my sister’s birthday celebration and then it will be time for New Year’s celebrations.

December has been full of parties, across the city. The merry making is going strong this year!

This week, I am taking time off from writing my Wednesday blog post so that I can partake in all the celebrations. I have only taken a break from blogging two or three times in the six years I’ve had this blog. I hope my posts have been and will continue to be helpful to you. I encourage you to take full advantage of the free outfit ideas I provide to make your life easier.

I will be back a week from today with my regular feature of The Beauty Spotlight Team. My style posts are linked up with a color consultant and the beauty bloggers who invited us to join their team. I have been happy to hear from readers that they look forward to our weekly blog roundup. I hope you will enjoy it, too!

A week from this Wednesday, I will share my top ten blog posts from 2023. I hope you’ll enjoy checking them out!

See you next week! Until then…

Have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

  • Hi Angie, I am so glad that you and your husband got to spend tine with your son and his partner via FaceTime, and were watching the same movie together. I hope that he heals from Covid quickly and I am happy to hear that he is still planning a visit back home soon!

    • Thanks! It’s kind of funny that I’m not going to be done with Christmas until January 19th. My son will be coming to town in mid-January and then my siblings finally found a time to all get together at one time in one place the week after. Lol! The festivities aren’t ending for me…

  • Aren’t you all the clever ones! What a great way to spend Christmas together technologically! So glad you got to “be with your son” virtually, if not in person. I wish you and your family a very Happy New Year!

    • It’s the next best thing to being there. Lol! Even better than a phone call…and we get plenty of phone calls from him! Ah, well, what to do when your son grows up and lives across the continent.
