Today, I have a good read to share. It tackles an important topic, if you’re like me and battle ever-encroaching clutter. This new book shows midlife women how to declutter for clarity of mind and home. It’s called PopUpPurge: Release Midlife Clutter & Reclaim Inner Clarityby Mary Vraa of the blog Shift Your Stories. After a few hours of reading this book, I was already inspired to start getting rid of some things around the house! Now that I have read the whole book, I can just imagine what I can do once I start using the processes set forth by the author.
It’s my turn to host the Fashion Flash e-magazine by and for women over 40 and here it is! Welcome spring with this new edition. This week we’ve got: some big giveaways; a delicious spring recipe; a free Zoom event on menopausal changes and treatment options; a Women’s History Month feature; a new book on decluttering; a video on exercising with asthma; and my post on how to style yoga pants with class from home to street. As you can see by our wide range of topics, age doesn’t matter. Everyone is welcome!
Working from home (WFH) means we get to dress comfortably. We can wear lounge clothes, athflow, athleisure or even business casual if it helps to motivate us. Many times, WFH means we need to look good from the waist up for online meetings and it doesn’t matter what we’re wearing from the waist down. It seems to me that’s where some of the new fashions are coming from. Many of the fashions inspired by post-2020 lifestyle are a combination of dressed-up clothes mixed with dressed-down clothes. So that’s something to keep in mind when figuring out how to create nice work from home outfits. Choose something comfy and pair it with something dressy, or vice versa. That way, you have style and comfort at the same time. And in my mind, that’s a key goal when getting dressed!
