Style Tip: An Easy Way to Dress Up for Day

It’s my birthday time and I am a lucky girl because I have friends who treat me to lunch!  As I was looking forward to seeing my friends, I came across a style tip for an outfit combination.  It worked so well that when I went to lunch, my friend’s outfit was based on the same idea!  So I’m sharing this easy way to dress up for days when you go to meet your friends for lunch or brunch.  Age doesn’t matter.

Style Tip:  An Easy Way to Dress Up for Day

When going out to lunch or brunch with friends, wear a classic black blazer over anything!

A classic black blazer will dress up jeans and a tee, a dress, tops from camisoles to turtlenecks and bottoms from skirts to trousers.  Feel free to stretch the envelope and be your true self!  A velvet or knit or ruched blazer are other options out of the many variations available today.

    • Hi, Shelbee – With my casual lifestyle (and probably that of many women over 60) the blazer with jeans could work throughout the week…Especially with funky accessories like boho, rock and sneakers too. Thanks for joining the conversation and for hosting your fabulous link parties! – Angie

  • As a mid-60’s-something woman on the go, dress is as much about comfort and movement as it is style. This look fits the bill on all fronts. Thanks for another good tip!
