As part of my Style Tips series (see HERE), today I have an outfit formula to help you easily achieve a cool and classy look. This versatile turnout is great for spring and summer. But it could also be adapted for fall and winter as I will note below. I collect these ideas to make getting dressed with finesse as simple and varied as possible. It’s up to you to plug your favorite pieces into this style tip of the day and wear them in your own way. Age doesn’t matter. I hope this little piece of advice will inspire you with ways to combine what you have differently and beautifully!

Style Tip:  A Versatile, Casual, Cool and Classy Look

Printed skirts, long skirts and gaucho pants/culottes/crops go with your basic tees and tops — or tucked over your classy shirts or blouses. Add leather sandals to finish the look.

For cool weather, simply wear warmer tops and boots instead of sandals.

What’s your favorite top? Wear it with gauchos, culottes or cropped pants, leather sandals with high heels, kitten heels or flat heels. Some brightly-colored, statement earrings add class and let you stay cool when it’s hot.

A crisp or lightweight button-down with a printed skirt is good for business with the right sandals, or pumps if the dress code demands them.

  • Love these summery looks and especially the first one (and last one) – I love hearts and have several tops with hearts. 🙂

    • You probably love hearts because you have a big heart yourself! 😉 I like them on t-shirts but don’t have any…mostly because my husband keeps me stocked in t-shirts for political causes. Lol!

    • Yay! I don’t like to wear cropped pants because they make my legs look shorter (I’m long waisted). So I prefer full length. But I love my gauchos. They are matte jersey, which drapes and flows so well. The feeling of floating on air is what I associate with my favorite summer clothes.
