Age doesn't matter.

2019: A Look at What Was Remarkable in My Blog & My Life

As we start a new year, it’s a good time to look back at the last year and appreciate the good things that happened.  Age doesn’t matter.  Thinking about what was good about the past day, week, month, year, decade — and heck even lifetime — brings happiness!  It makes the present moment so much brighter.  And once we know where we’ve been, it helps guide us on where to go next.  So I’m going to connect you to Your True Self Blog’s ten most popular posts of the year.  And I’m going to share with you a look at what was remarkable in my blog and my life in 2019.

A Look at What Was Remarkable in My Blog & My Life

In my personal life —

My sister Nancy and I, and at times my other sister and niece as well, worked on our true selves (heart and soul.)  We studied A Course in Miracles and Dr. Joe Dispenza’s meditation program from his book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself.  We didn’t complete either one, so we have more work to do in 2020.  Nancy and I worked on clearing our chakras and opening our hearts.  I have been learning to use my crystals, both the gemstones and the jewelry.  You can find out more about using crystals at my post “How to Heal with the Amazing Energy of Crystals” HERE.  Because of the inner work we did, Nancy and I now see things differently than we did last year.

 In my blog —

Before I list the ten most popular blog posts of the past year, I want to share what happened with my blog work that was remarkable.

  • Influencers of Midlife — In January, I attended the Influencers of Midlife Summit in Atlanta, Georgia, hosted by Robin LaMonte of the blog HelloIm50ish.  She has graduated to 60ish which I suppose can almost be 50ish.  So she is a dynamic role model for those of us who are also 60ish.  I was looking to network at the conference, which worked out nicely.  I met bloggers, podcasters and brand ambassadors and learned all kinds of things that are useful to women in midlife and beyond.  There was so much covered and yet there will be even more subjects to learn about and even more women to learn from at the upcoming 2nd Annual Influencers of Midlife (IOM) conference in March.  To learn more about it, click HERE

  • Fashion Flash — At the IOM conference in January, I met author and blogger Deb Chase and was honored to be invited to join Fashion Flash.  Every Monday, one of us in the group hosts the Fashion Flash e-magazine by and for women over 40.  The host has the links to the featured posts of the week where you can browse the topics of your choice.  I have found the members of Fashion Flash to be not only excellent in their fields of expertise but also friendly, wonderful women with big hearts.
  • New blogger friends — Throughout the year, I met such special women online that we became virtual friends.  I’m looking forward to meeting some of them in person at the IOM conference in March!
